Job Description: Key Result Areas (Key Accountabilities)
1. Provide a lead role in the Operations Support Team, leading mechanical engineers (Static and Rotating Equipment) to achieve the business goal.
2. Provide expertise and guidance in all business processes.
3. Ensure Projects are executed on time and within budget
4. Ensure Change is managed effectively by adhering to the Management of Change Standard
5. Ensure competence and performance of Responsible Persons for Safety Critical Elements
6. Interface with the Company's engineering department to ensure maintainability is considered when specifying, procuring and installing new or replacement equipment.
7. Contribute to and support the Dubai Petroleum maintenance management strategy.
8. Identify, propose and promote opportunities and initiatives to reduce annual OPEX and CAPEX budget spend.
9. Manage contracts within the department to ensure adequate coverage for maintenance and operations.
10. Perform root cause analysis where required.

Educational Qualifications:
▪ Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Experience Profile:
▪ 15 or more years operating company experience in oil and gas with specific focus on rotating machinery and experience in leading a team
▪ Relevant offshore/onshore experience in design and construction of hydrocarbon processing / utilities plant and with application of associated codes and standards.
▪ Extensive experience in the operation and design of all types of Rotating

Equipment packages
▪ Knowledge of operating and maintaining equipment in remote environments.
▪ Leadership experience to run a multi-discipline team of engineers.
▪ Project management skills

▪ Able to present and write technical reports in fluent English
▪ The lead mechanical engineer is expected to take ownership of issues and follow them through to completion.
▪ Ability to comfortably influence all levels of the organisation with good English written and verbal communication skills.
