Job Title: Project Engineer

Job Description: Responsibilities:

Develop cost effective engineering solutions for the project/ contract. Review project/ contract documentation and raise technical queries as required.
Provide engineering / technical advice to on-site Supervisors and other project staff involved in the execution of works. Supervises project activities as directed. Take the lead role in procurement and work pack development for the project/ contract. Detailed understanding of the scope of works and contractual understanding of the project.
Assist with planning and scheduling the scope of work for the project/ contract. Organise project resources and equipment as directed to meet project or contractual requirements.
Identify hazards and advise on safety procedures. Actively monitor work practices to ensure adherence to correct procedures and standards for safety and environmental performance.
Work in accordance with quality assurance procedures, client specifications and ISO requirements. Conduct internal audits and site inspections to ensure such compliance. Assemble and maintain project documents and quality records ensuring completeness and accuracy.
Provide advice, technical or functional information as required. Answer queries from client representatives regarding general and technical engineering issues.
Use own initiative to set and achieve challenging work goals; focus time and energy to maintain high work standards and meet project or contract requirements.
Work cooperatively with others to accomplish group goals. Provide support and supervision to graduate and undergraduate engineers.
