Job Description:
Key Roles & Responsibilities
• Monitor, witness and guide inspections and surveillance activities effectively
• Intervene to resolve any the areas of dispute arising out of quality surveillances involving client, CA/BV and/or other internal functions
• Carry out visual inspections and dimensional confirmations and compliance as per production drawings, data sheets, approved ITP, WPS-PQR inspections
• Prepare NDT reports, review and submit to QA/QC Manager daily and weekly report for approval
• Witness/Carry out ultrasonic thickness gauging and prepare the reports as per class requirements using drawings and methods
• Witness/Carry out and interpret ultrasonic scanning on weld joints
• Witness/Carry out Magnetic Particle Inspection and interpretation
• Witness/Carry out Liquid Penetration Tests and interpretation
• Witness pressure test (hydrostatic and pneumatic)
• Support QA/QC Manager in preparing project QA-QC dossiers
Education & Professional Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical/metallurgy/industrial) and holds certification in below at least:
AWS CWI, CSWIP Grade 3.1 or EWIP/IWIP-S,
ISO 9712:2012 Level II (PCN, COFREND, CSWIP or SNTTC-1A, (2016) - Recommended Practice ANSI / ASNT CP-105),
FROSIO or NACE-CIP or SSPC-PCI Level II or Bgas-CSWIP Grade 2 (At least one (1) inspector shall be FROSIO or NACE-CIP or SSPC-PCI Level III or Bgas-CSWIP Grade 1),
ASNT Level II (UT/PT/MPT/ RT)
And valid BOSIET certification (for offshore only)
Professional Experience:
Minimum 7 years post qualification experience in engineering industries and projects like oil and gas, pipe laying and construction, heavy and mid size fabrication industries
