Job Description:
Company Maintenance Shield (BMS) is expanding across all domains and in particular the Air environment. As such there is a requirement for a Quality & Safety Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations conducted by the Air Safety & Quality Organisation within BMS for it’s relevant partners and suppliers and to communicate with the End User.
As such, the successful candidate will be required to deliver:
• Responsible for the delivery of safety, compliance and quality assurance oversight
• To provide advice and support on all safety, compliance and quality assurance issues,
• Ensure that standards and statutory legislation are applied.
• acting as a positive role model for the corporate ethos of continuous improvement
• Measure performance and results against Key Performance Indicators, thus ensuring that BMS delivers
consistently high standards of safety and compliance.
• providing safety & quality support to the Quality, Safety & Airworthiness Manager and their appointed
responsible individuals.
This position will predominantly be based within the associated Military location(s) and will manage the general day to day safety & quality management of the assigned platforms and equipment.
Expertise (processes knowledge, practical & implementation skills)
- Safety Management Experience
- Be educated to Degree level (or equivalent)
- Qualified Auditor
- A recognised and relevant Safety Management System and or HSE qualification
- Solving & Decision-making skills
- Knowledge of modern aircraft equipment
- Knowledge of aircraft maintenance and repair policy and procedure
- Knowledge of Safety Management Systems, Human Factors etc
- Excellent communication skills
- Fluent English Speaker
- Computer Literate
- Knowledgeable of data analysis and forecasting models
- Driving licence
