Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Junior Marine Project Engineer with 0–3 years of experience and relevant training in a shipyard environment. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree and a passion for marine and shipyard operations. This role provides a unique opportunity to grow and develop technical and project management skills in a dynamic marine engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Project Support:
o Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing marine engineering projects,
including new builds, repairs, and retrofitting of vessels.
o Support senior engineers in ensuring project deliverables are met on time
and within budget.
• Technical Assistance:
o Work closely with design teams to interpret drawings and technical
specifications.
o Conduct technical assessments, calculations, and analysis under the
guidance of senior team members.
• Shipyard Coordination:
o Participate in shipyard activities, including inspections, progress monitoring,
and reporting.
o Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth project
execution.
• Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:
o Adhere to HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental) standards and
practices.
o Assist in implementing and maintaining safety protocols on-site. • Documentation and Reporting:
o Prepare project documentation, including progress reports, risk
assessments, and quality checklists.
o Maintain accurate records of project activities and deliverables. • Learning and Development:
o Actively participate in training and mentoring programs to enhance technical
and managerial skills.
o Stay updated on the latest marine engineering technologies and industry
practices.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, Naval Architecture,
Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 0–3 years of experience, with at least internship or training experience
in a shipyard or marine engineering environment.
